――無駄話と良い言葉から得られるもの―― |
あらゆる称賛と栄光はアッラーのもの。預言者ムハムマドに祝福と平安がもたらされますように。
信者たちよ、今日あらゆる場所で、人々が集まっては無駄話に興じているのが見受けられる。そうした話の内容を確かめてみると、殆どの会話が中味のないものに過ぎず、むしろ有害な内容を伴っているということが分かるというものである。そんな会話の為にアッラーが人々に言葉と言うものを与えられたのではないし、そんな使われ方をしたのでは、言葉というものが感謝されるべき贈り物となるはずもないのである。
アッラーは、クルアーン・婦人章において次ぎのように述べられておられる。
「彼らのひそひそ話をする集まりの殆どは無益なものである。ただし、施しや善行を勧め、あるいは人々の間をとりなすのは別である。アッラーの御悦びを求めてこれを行う者には、われは、いずれ大きな報酬を与えるであろう。」（4章 114節）
イスラームでは、言葉を口にすることを大切なものとみなし、人々の考えや精神に良い影響を与える様な言葉を発することを奨励している。それ、即ち言葉を通して道徳や、時にはその反対のものが社会に広められるからである。人は誰でも話をしようとする前に、「今話そうとしていることが、自分にとってどれ程の必要があるのか。」を、自らに問わなければならないのである。必要と認められるならば、話をするが良かろう。その一方で、沈黙というものはもっと良いことなのである。なぜならば、不要な話をしないでおくことは、大きな報酬を得る為の崇拝行為の一つに数えられるからである。言葉を慎むことは、何にも勝るのである。
取り留めのない気ままな会話は、人を不思慮にしてしまう原因となるであろう。そうした人の多くは、良くない集まりに加わり、人々を無益な会話に導いて行くものであり、言っている本人が、実は言っていることが何なのかを知らず、その言っている事が及ぼす影響について考えようとしないのである。そのことについて、預言者さま（祝福と平安を）は次のように述べておられる。「悪魔があなたの許から遠ざかっているように、そして自らの信仰行為の実践を容易にする為に、ずっと沈黙を保ちなさい。」「心が正しいものとなること無しに、アッラーの教えを正しく信じる、そうしたしもべはいないものである。そして言葉が正しいものとなること無しに、心が正しい者であることはないのである。」 この正しいものを得ようとしたいなら、第一にあるべき事は、自分には関係が無い何らかの事柄について、関係しようとしたり巻き込まれたりしないことである。預言者さま（祝福と平安を）は、次のようにも述べておられる。「イスラームの教えを立派に実践している人の特徴は、自分に関係のないことに係わろうとしないことである。」
軽はずみで用のない話から遠ざかることは、成功への入り口に至ることである。
アッラーは、クルアーン・信者たち章において次ぎのように述べておられる。
「信者たちは確かに勝利を勝ち取る。」「彼らは礼拝を敬虔に行い、」「虚しいことを避け、」（23章 1--3節）
イスラームでは、軽はずみで用のない話を、内容のない悪いものであるとし、避けるべきものであると教える。実際に、それを避ける多くの者は、アッラーの許では高い位階にあり、逆に、それを好む多くの者は、アッラーの許ではそれ相当の懲罰に値するの者である。預言者さま（祝福と平安を）は、次のように述べておられる。「しもべが人の笑いを得るだけを目的に言葉を発するなら、天上と地上の距離ほども、地獄の方へ近付く原因をつくることとなる。人は足でつまずくよりも、むしろ、しょっちゅう自分の言葉でつまずくものである。」
親切な言葉は、友にも敵対者に対しても有意義なものである。友に対しては、そうした言葉は良い関係を創り上げ、友好を長持ちさせるものである。そして悪魔の罠を遠ざけるものとなる。
アッラーは、クルアーン・夜の旅章において次ぎのように述べておられる。
「われのしもべに告げなさい。『彼ら（ムスリム）は何事でも最も丁寧にものを言いなさい。』 悪魔は彼らとの間に（争い事）の種を蒔く。誠、悪魔は人間の公然の敵である。」（17章 53節）
一方そうした言葉は、敵対者に対しては、敵意の火勢を弱め、その先出て来るかも知れない悪意を妨げ、挙げ句の果てには悪意があっても、それを弱いものにしてしまう。
アッラーは、クルアーン・フッスィラ章において次ぎのように述べておられる。
「善と悪とは同じではない。一層の善行で悪を追い払え。そうすれば、互いの間に敵意がある者でも親しい友のようになる。」（41章 34節）
正直で親切な言葉の別な効用としては、人をいつでも謙虚で快活な態度をとれるようにするものである。預言者さま（祝福と平安を）は次のように述べておられる。「人は財物によって他人を慕わせる事は出来なくても、ほほ笑みと親切で正直な良い行いによって、それが出来るものである。」 アナス・ビン・マーリクによれば、「預言者さま（祝福と平安を）が、『どうすれば結果的に天国に入る事となるでしょうか。』と問われ、『人々に施しをし、平安の挨拶をよくし、近親者との関係を良く保ち、人々が眠っている真夜中に礼拝をしなさい。そうすれば安泰に天国に入ることでしょう。』と答えられた。」
アッラーは、クルアーン・識別章及び物語章において次ぎのように述べておられる。
「慈悲深き御方のしもべたちは、謙虚に地上を歩く者。また、無知の輩（多神教徒）が話し掛けても、『平安あれ。』と言う者である。」（25章 63節）
「また、詰まらない話を耳にするとき、彼らは身を引いて言う。『私たちには、私たちの行いがあり、あなた方にはあなた方の行いがある。あなた方の上に平安あれ。私たちは真理を拒む者を相手にはしない。』」（28章 55節）
私たちが無駄話をせず、親切で良い言葉を語れるように、アッラーの御導きを祈願しようではないか。
アッラーよ、愛する預言者さま（祝福と平安を）をお手本として実行できる者であるように御導き下さい。
アッラーよ、イスラームの道から外れた悪から、私たちを御守り下さい。
アッラーよ、私たちの信仰心を強くして下さい。私たちが正しい道を歩むように御加護下さい。
アッラーよ、日本中に、世界中にイスラームを広められるように御力添え下さい。
アッラーよ、イスラームとムスリムたちの為に奉仕出来るように力と御加護を御与え下さい。
アッラーよ、何時でもあなたさまを顧みて感謝し、満足を知る者であるように御導き下さい。
アッラーよ、私たちがクルアーンの教えに従い、忍耐強い者であるように御導き下さい。
アッラーよ、病気の者たちを御治し下さい。仕事の無い者たちに清い仕事を御与え下さい。
アッラーよ、仕事に成功を、そして安心と安全を御与え下さい。 アミィーン

| Translation of Khutba (Friday April 06, 2011) (The Harvest of the Tongue) |
|
All praise is due to Allah, the Beneficent and the Merciful. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and companions.
Nowadays, the people’s gatherings are filled with unrestrained conversations that seem to cover every area. If one were to judge these, they could only come to the conclusion that the vast majority of these conversations are comprised of useless or even harmful talk. This is certainly not why Allaah has gifted us with tongues and this definitely not how gifts are appreciated.
Allaah says in the Quran in Surat An-Nisaa’:
“No good is there in much of their private conversation, except for those who enjoin charity or that which is right or conciliation between people. And whoever does that seeking the means to the approval of Allaah – then We are going to give them a great reward.” (S.4 V.114).
Islaam has given great emphasis to speech and on the way that words are delivered, as this reflects people’s thoughts and mentality, as well as how morality, or its opposite, is spread through society. A person must ask himself before saying anything: ‘Is there any need for me to talk?’ If there is a need, then it is fine to talk. Otherwise, silence is better because refraining from unnecessary speech is a form of worship which has a great reward. Abdullaah Ibn Mas’ood may Allaah be pleased with him, said: “I swear by the One besides Whom there is nothing worthy of worship: one’s need to imprison their tongue is greater than anything else.”
Loose talk causes one to become heedless. It is a fact that the majority of those who take the lead in vain talk during sinful gatherings talk so much that one who listens to them comes to realise that they themselves are not aware of what they are saying and that there is no thought-process behind their words. This is exactly the reason why the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam advised Abu Dharr, may Allaah be pleased with him, saying: “Stay silent for long periods, as this keeps Satan away from you and helps you in the practice of your religion.” He sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam also said: “No servants of Allaah’s belief will be correct until his heart is corrected, and his heart will never be corrected until his tongue is.” The first phase of achieving this correctness is for a person to give up that which does not concern them and not to involve themselves in things that they were not asked about, as the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said: “A sign of one’s good practice of Islaam, is having given up that which does not concern them”
Shunning frivolities and idle talk is the gate to success.
Allaah says in the Quran in Surat Al-Mu’minoon:
“Certainly will the believers have succeeded. They who are during their prayer humbly submissive. And they who turn away from ill speech.” (S.23 V.1--3)
Islaam has dispraised frivolities and idle talk as they are immaterial and evil. In fact, the more a person stays away from them, the higher their rank becomes with Allaah. Conversely, the more a person indulges in them, the more their punishment will be with Allaah, this is why the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said: “A slave (of Allaah) will utter a word for no other reason but to make people laugh, and it would cause him to go down into Hell as far as the distance between the Heavens and the earth; and a person will slip with his tongue more often than he will stumble off his feet.”
Kind words are effectual with friends and enemies alike. As for friends, they will maintain the good relationship and prolong the friendship - and prevent the traps of Satan as Allaah says in the Quran in Surat Al-Israa’:
“And tell My servants to say that which is best. Indeed, Satan induces [dissension] among them. Indeed Satan is ever, to mankind, a clear enemy.” (S.17 V.53)
As for enemies, it will put out the fire of their enmity and prevent any further evil to take place, or at least reduce it, as Allaah says in the Quran in Surat Fussilat:
“And not equal are the good deed and the bad. Repel [evil] by that [deed] which is better; and thereupon, the one whom between you and him is enmity [will become] as though he was a devoted friend.” (S.41 V.34)
Another benefit of kind and upright words, are that they get people accustomed to polite and pleasant ways of expressing themselves. The Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said: “One cannot endear people to themselves by means of wealth, but can do so with a smiling face and good conduct.”
Anas bin Maalik, may Allaah be pleased with him, reported that “A man came to the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam and asked: ”Teach me something that would result in me entering Paradise.”and the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam replied: “Feed the people, spread the greetings of salaam, keep good ties with your kith and kin and pray at night while the people are sleeping and you will enter Jannah peacefully.”
Allaah regards good conduct as the foremost of the desired characteristics of His slaves, which protects them from evil. Allaah says in the Quran in Surat Al-Furqaan and Al-Qasas:
“And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth without arrogance, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words] of eace.” (S.25 V.63)
“And when they hear ill speech, they turn away from it and say, ‘For us are our deeds, and for you are your deeds. Peace will be upon you; we seek not the ignorant.’” (S.28 V.55)
O Allah! Guide us to the straight path that leads to salvation and paradise.
O Allah! Give us an ability to follow the character, actions, statements and the legal ways of the prophet (s a w).
O Allah! Forgive all our sins
O Allah! Accept us for Your service and for the Service of Islam and Muslims
O Allah! Give us strength of Iman
O Allah! Accept all of us Dawah worker in Japan
O Allah! Guide all the people in Japan and all over the world to Islam
O Allah! Give rizq in abundance to all Muslims in Japan
O Allah! Give shifa to those who are sick
O Allah! Grant safety and security in Japan and all over the world Aamin ya Rabbil Aalamin
